Your OpenGL Version

Postby A-Man » August 8th, 2016, 4:29 pm

This is a survey to find out the graphics capabilities of the machines you guys are running. We're humble people here running humble machines, and I don't want anyone to miss out. At the same time, I don't want to compromise on some features too much because I fear this. I'll build a standard depending on what you guys post here. Thanks for you time!

What I'm interested in is the OpenGL version, and the OpenGL Shading Language version.

-If you're running Windows or Mac, you can use this tool to find out:
http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.php

-If you're running Linux, get "glxinfo" for your distribution. If debian:
apt-get install glxinfo
If Red Hat:
yum install glx-utils

Then pipe the output to grep and post what it says:
glxinfo | grep "version"

Yes! Just saying 4.1 would've been okay. Thanks a lot Mark!

Beast! @barfix

@freaky, are you sure it isn't 3.2? Is the % number besides 3.2 zero or something else?
Regardless, 3.1 isn't bad at all.

Edit: @v: it does!

4.3 is as far as I can go. And I decided to show you what I can and can't do on this laptop since there are a few things that work.
Just stay calm for now. We will do it when the time comes~
